  A service advisor told me the repair is under warranty, and to bring the truck in. Otherwise, I would have bought the parts for $80 and done the repair myself, as I explained to the service advisor. But, as I was told it's under warranty, I took a day off if work to have the repair done, loosing business.

  My advise is to get everything in writing before surrendering your vehicle to the service department. There is either a lack of knowledge or communication at the service desk. When trying to do the right thing and keep all warrantable repairs done at the dealership, I was rewarded with a bill I had to fight to get reduced and a day off list business.

  I had my diesel pusher rv towed to freightliner Red Deer. It sat 12 days before they would even look at it. After that another 18 days passed of wrongly orderd parts arriving and empty promises being broken. Today I drove to red deer from kelowna to pick it up at

  The technicians in the back are a great group, and knowledgeable. Parts has always treated me well. There is a weak link in the service department at the service counter.

  Once the repair was done, a bill for $500 is handed to me. After a discussion with the service manager, it was explained the repair isn't covered by warranty as the service advisor said it was. Further discussion resulted in the bill reduced, but but removed entirely. $200 later, I was able to have my keys back and take my truck.

  I run trucking company in Red Deer area, deal with Freighliner Red Deer often because we run Freighliner trucks. Service is average. Have had inconsistent results when work is done, often not thorough or to standards we expect. Billing has been unreasonable at times. Overall not really positive experience, but work is usually done in acceptable time frame, just often headaches with other issues mentioned above.
