The store manager is beyond rude. Asked if they had any odd future hoodies in or if they could order me one in she said no i said "oh well that sucks" she rolled her eyes and glared at me. Any time since I've gone in there to purchase ANYTHING she glares at me and refuses to help (Guess being on her phone is more important than asking people if they need help). Tried going in once more today and she was SCREAMING at an employee right in front of the store! Made me uncomfortable so i left without purchasing anything. Will not be going back nor will I support the Zumiez location in bower mall any longer until this is fixed.

And hey, I made a binder full of till functions, and how to open and close and when I quit, the new assistant manager hid it from me saying the district manager and new manager took it! But I found it shoved under the counter. Real mature, and really professional. Definitely won’t support this company anymore after being in it and seeing firsthand how they run things.

Horrible environment to be in, the store manager glares at me everytime I walk in there.. horrrrrible customer service, I've walked in there from the front of the store all the way to the back and no one notices me because there too busy talking about there social life.. And no one there knows anything about skateboarding, dont bother asking to get your board gripped because the wont do it. Support local skate shops guys

Terrible place to work at. Competitive hours over who sells more, not who puts in the most effort. Dont forget the selling steps or your fired. Would love to hear anyone tell me this is a good place to work, would love to laugh in your face. Manager would steal sales to "teach you a lesson" when in reality she would make money off your sales. Yeah good lesson, to basically steal money from us. No one knows anything about skateboarding and theft is through the roof 24/7. Ever want a place to start up your first job experience? Don't go here. After 5 years in the retail business this is BY FAR the worst place ive experienced hands down. Good luck to anyone who works here.

Nobody who works at this store knows anything remotely about how to build a skateboard. Maybe one person knows how to grip one and that’s about it. When you walk into a skate shop, you expect to be able to be helped regarding skate stuff. Not the garbage service you receive by these people. I worked here for a couple months, and being in the company was awful. The DM never helped with anything serious, and completely f’d the store over with management TWICE. The assistant manager of the store right now has been heard multiple times by staff and customers saying just to “take things” from the store if you like it. Good choice in AM guys! And the manager has NO idea about anything skateboard related whatsoever. Real nice atmosphere for skateboard shop when you can’t even get help from the manager. Ever since I left, I’ve walked in multiple times and I receive glares and no help at all. Nobody even notices when I walk in. Good job on the first steps! I put my heart and soul into this job because I CARED about it not going downhill and the effort I put in was thrown away by a DM who obviously has no idea what he’s doing for the better of the company. Especially hiring a manager who has almost no management experience or knows ANYTHING about Zumiez. And it’s been a month or so, and she still has no idea.

This company needs to take a hard look at their Canadian branch and change some things. The staff need a completely different way of training to serve customers and not just skateboard around the store. After working for five months, I am begrudgingly leaving due to the chaos that was this store. I tried my hardest to make this store the “one-stop-shop” for customers. I however can not work all day and every day to ensure my loyal customers are treated the way they should be treated. I am sad to leave this store behind but it became too overwhelming. The company needs to change how it trains it’s employees and how those employees treat each other and the public. This was a workplace, not a hangout.
