  This is a follow up on a previous review regarding our issues with noisy flooring. Even when our cat walks on it, the flooring makes cracking noises and is extremely annoying. The flooring company is blaming humidity issues, but they have not performed a humidity check and this is purely hearsay. Alberta is prone to humidity changes and quality flooring should hold up to it. We do appreciate that they did come in to try and alleviate a pinch point and we really appreciate the effort, but our flooring is still making cracking noises in multiple places, all on the end joints where it doesn't 'lock' together. Central Alberta Flooring also confirmed to me that they did NOT use 100% Silicone adhesive in and around high humidity areas such as the dishwasher, as per Armstrong Flooring's instructions for installation. If humidity was a concern for this flooring, then it would have been installed correctly using the correct adhesive. Basically, we are left with very noisy flooring as the installer/retailer are blaming the customer, the manufacturer is blaming the installer/retailer and the customer doesn't want to blame anyone and just wants the flooring fixed, whether it's a manufacturing flaw or improper installation. Very frustrating.

Save your time, money, and the headache, and visit the impressive showroom at CAF. The staff is so pleasant to work with and you will always leave with a smile on your face! I always recommend Central Alberta flooring for any flooring needs.

  Price and selection was good. Unfortunately our flooring wasn't installed as per manufacturers recommendations and now it squeaks and cracks when walked on. It's extremely annoying.
